Don't Serve the god of Your Experience

Sometimes we have a hard time discerning if things that are happening are God or not because we've become so use to seeing things play out a certain way. We are so use to seeing a love one succumb to their terminal illness, failed relationship after failed relationship, people that started off doing it for God turning down the wrong path that when God is trying to make a miracle of your current situation, your family, your ministry--we don't even have the faith to trust that things will be different.

Don't serve the god of your experience! Just because you've always seen it go one way doesn't mean it's going that way this time. Just because it always ended badly before, doesn't mean it's going to end badly this time. Just because people never stayed in your life before, doesn't mean these people God sent are going to leave. Just because you got use to losing doesn't mean you're not going to win. God is changing the norm but we must have the faith to sense that things are changing! That's why the Word says:

Forget about the former things.

Don't use what happened before as a map or compass in every season of your life. How frustrating is it when your GPS app hasn't been updated on new roads, new buildings, new homes, new locations that you're trying to get to? Old maps never lead to new destinations. The data is old. So now you're driving around guessing where to turn, using other places as landmarks...because this old map can't take you where you've never been.

UPDATE YOUR SYSTEM!

Forget about the old because it cannot take you where your are going. God is saying:

Behold, I am doing a NEW THING;

NOW it springs forth (It wasn't meant to happen where you were before)

Can you not perceive it?

I am making a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

Isaiah 43:18-19

That means He is going to have you in the same environments or situations where you took losses before. The situations are going to look the same. And in your mind you're going to think, "I've seen this before. I already know how this is going to play out." But God is changing you and He intends to do something you've never seen before.

Don't lose faith in this time you're in right now. Stay with God and prosper in impossible circumstances!
