1: A Stranger has complimented you Whether it was on the job about your professionalism or politeness, or a passerby complimenting your shoes. A compliment is a compliment. If some random person can see that you have good taste, good manners, or good genes--whether it was once in your life 2: You are responsible for something Most adults have some form of responsibility whether it be your grades in school, your bills, your child(ren) it doesn't matter who is responsible for more than you. It doesn't even matter how much you struggle to meet needs from day to day or month to month--you are doing it! If you have to negotiate bills just to keep the lights on, guess what? You handled your business to keep your lights on. You lit, girl! 3: You've complimented someone.
It takes confidence, honesty, and courage to tell someone else that you admire something about them. The social media age that we are in causes many of us to face insecurities and sometimes compare what we don't have to someone else. If you can manage to overcome and offer a compliment to another woman, it shows maturity and confidence in yourself. You already know you have it going on, you just forgot ;) 4: At some point in your life, you left a comfort zone.
Whether you went after a job you didn't think you were ready for or left your small town for the big city, left a toxic relationship or found out you were pregnant unexpectedly and learned to adjust to being a mother. You jumped ship and did not drown. Even if you felt like you had no choice but to deal with the hand you were dealt. You could've quit but you forged ahead and handled your business, regardless of how messy it was in the beginning. You go, girl! 5: when you look over the last year of your life, you can honestly see growth.
And this, ladies, is the biggest indication you have it going on. You could've stayed exactly where you were and how you were before. It takes courage and maturity to grow.
